Skipper preparing for Portman Road double-header

Carlos Edwards is calling on his Town team-mates to bounce back from the weekend defeat to Middlesbrough and wants to make Portman Road a ‘fortress’.

Town slipped to a 2-0 defeat at the Riverside Stadium but Carlos is backing his team-mates to return to winning ways in this week’s home double-header against Wolves (Wednesday) and Charlton (Saturday).

“We have two big home games this week and it’s a great chance for us to bounce back from the Middlesbrough defeat,” Carlos told the Club website.

“We need to take advantage of that and I was stressing to the boys earlier in the season that we need to make Portman Road a fortress, and try to make things as difficult as possible for the opposition.

“That’s something we are aiming to do and we are trying to put that right. Hopefully we can start that against Wolves on Wednesday with a solid performance and result.”
