Blues 'keeper left encouraged for the future despite defeat on the road

Scott Loach was left to reflect on the positives of Town’s performance, despite Blues losing 2-0 to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

Town went down to a goal in each half from Boro pair Luke Williams and substitute Mustapha Carayol, but the Blues stopper remained upbeat for the future despite the loss.

“It’s hard to take but I think we have to look at the positives and the performance was there for everyone to see,” Scott told the Club website

“In fact I actually thought that was one of our better performances of the season so far but we haven’t managed to score.

“I’m not sure how many shots we’ve had but it seemed a lot from where I was standing, yet if you don’t hit the target then you’re not going to score.

“There’s plenty of time left yet though and I’m sure if we continue to perform like that then the results will follow.”

Town are next in action on Wednesday, when Wolves make the trip to Portman Road (Kick-Off 7.45pm).
