TAYLOR MADE FOR TOWN

3 September 2012

Boss confident Paul will be a fans' favourite

Paul Jewell is confident that Paul Taylor will become a fans’ favourite at Portman Road.

The striker made his debut for Blues in the 2-2 draw with Huddersfield at the weekend after arriving from Peterborough on a three year contract.

“Paul was shattered after the game but he impressed and showed in glimpses what is capable of producing,” the Town boss told the Club website.

“We were pleased with what he did. He got a great reception from the supporters and I’m sure the fans will take to him. He’s that type of player.”

The boss was also pleased with the contribution of Daryl Murphy, who has joined Town from Celtic for a third loan spell at the Club.

“Daryl won every header and did a good job for us," added Paul. "He’s not just about getting flick ons and that sort of thing but we needed to add some height to the team. When you look at us, we are so small. We have to get some size into the group. We’ve done that with Daryl and Guirane [N’Daw] coming in and we will continue to try and do that.”
