Skipper tells team-mates to stop feeling sorry for themselves

Carlos Edwards believes Town have to ‘pick themselves up’, after slipping to defeat at home to Wolves this evening.

Blues were beaten by Stale Solbakken’s side after a Tommy Smith own goal and a strike from Tongo Doumbia saw the visitors leave Portman Road with all three points.

“Disappointment sums it up,” the Town skipper told the Club website.

“We had the chances to take something from the game tonight, but yet again we haven’t taken them and in front of goal we’re still not hitting the target.

“The luck is against us at the minute, you can see that with the own goal from Tommy (Smith) but we can’t use that as an excuse and we need to start making our own luck.

“It’s the same old story but we need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and pick ourselves up, as we have another game on Saturday.”
