Plenty going on before Birmingham clash on Saturday with the field turf playing host to a number of activities and stalls from 1.30pm

Over 20,000 fans are expected to cheer on the Blues on Saturday, with Town taking on Birmingham in the final home game of the season.

Many people have taken up the ‘Kids for a Quid’ offer, which also sees Junior Blues members gain FREE entry to the game (kick-off 3pm).

But the action isn’t just happening out on the Portman Road pitch, as we’ve got plenty of fun, family-based activities taking place on the field turf behind the East of England Co-operative Stand pre-match.

Starting from 1.30pm (when turnstiles open), the field turf will be jam-packed with activities for all the family, including a human football table, bouncy castle, face painters, water-walkers, a bowling alley, giant buzzer game and a co-operative truck full of goodies.

We will also have our U11 side taking part in an Academy showcase on the field turf, for all of you who want to see how our ‘Blues of the future’ are progressing.

There’s also plenty of opportunities for you to get involved with a football yourself, as we will be staging a penalty shoot-out competition as well as inflating our Continental/Treadfirst speedshot for people to try out.

Local freestyle group, Urban Movement, will be getting involved with the festivities and our very own UpTown Girls will also be performing.

Food and beverages will be on sale, including children’s sweets, drinks and ice-creams and we will also be selling burgers in the concourse areas of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand and the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand.

Whilst for the over 18’s out there who fancy a refreshing pint of Adnams before the game, Legends bar will be serving Adnams Mayday, Broadside and Ghostship.

Our Club shop, Planet Blue, will also have all current replica mitre kits and official benchwear on offer at a discounted rate of 50% off!

At around 2.40pm, attentions will turn to the main pitch where we will be staging a mascot race, with our very own Bluey and Crazee battling it out with Beau Brummie, Pacman, Cheeko the Monkey, Mecca Rebecca and Nando’s Chicken.

Tickets for the game are still available, via the Ticket Office, Planet Blue and online, and full details can be found here.
