Chambo heads winners at end of season awards dinner

Luke Chambers picked up the Players’ Player of the Year award at tonight’s end of season dinner.

More than 250 guests were at the prestigious black tie event, sponsored by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, at ‘the hangar@milsoms kesgrave hall’.

Luke, who joined the Club from Nottingham Forest last summer, just came out on top in the voting from his team-mates, with Tommy Smith and Luke Hyam amongst the Blues pushing him all the way.

Tommy was named Boxholders and Sponsors’ Player of the Year, while Luke picked up the Most Improved Player award which was decided by Town boss Mick McCarthy.

Aaron Cresswell won the vote on the night for Goal of the Season, his left foot rocket against Crystal Palace beating off Carlos Edwards’ last minute winner at Derby.

The Academy Player of the Year award went to Jack Marriott.
