Loachy praises the support of the Blue Army and wants to make Portman Road a fortress, starting with Leeds

Scott Loach is looking to make Portman Road a fortress this season, starting with Saturday’s challenge of Leeds United.

The Blues welcome Brian McDermott’s side at the weekend and stopper Scott is hoping that the Blue Army again play their part and make some noise, just as they did against Millwall last time out at home.

“We’ve got to make Portman Road a fortress and we’ve got to make teams know that when they come here, they are going to be in for a tricky game,” Loachy told the Club website.

“Leeds are Leeds United. They are a big name and we know that they are going to have a big following but we will be ready.

“It’s going to be a tough game for us but it’s also going to be a tough game for them because we fancy our chances against anyone at home and there’s no reason why we can’t keep up our recent good form at Portman Road.

“The fans have been brilliant all season and they made a lot of noise against Millwall. That certainly helped us win the game and let’s hope for a repeat this weekend.”
