Mick McCarthy adds to his squad with the capture of former Crawley winger Jordan Adekunle
Town have signed teenage midfielder Jordan Adekunle on a one-year contract.
The winger, who was most recently with Crawley, has been training with the Blues and has done enough to impress manager Mick McCarthy that he is deserving of a contract at Portman Road.
Jordan featured against Town for the Red Devils in pre-season and also turned out for Mark Kennedy’s U21 Development side last night, as the Blues went down 2-0 to Cardiff.
The 18 year-old joined up with his team-mates at the Club's annual open day today, training on the main pitch.
"I'm delighted to sign for Ipswich," the new Blue told the Club website.
"It's a great Club and I can see the rich history of the place just by walking through the corridors here.
"The manager has given me a chance here, so I want to do well for the Club and I'm just buzzing for the new season here really."
