TRIBUTE ON SIR BOBBY'S DAY

9 August 2013

Former Blues to join minute's applause before kick-off

The Club will be holding a minute’s applause before Saturday’s game against Millwall to mark Sir Bobby Robson National Football Day.

Events have been planned around the country to mark the day, which is part of the Football Association’s 150 year celebrations.

Some of the players who played under Sir Bobby Robson will be back on the Portman Road pitch before the game to take part in a minute’s applause for the football legend.

Kevin Beattie, Bryan Hamilton, Micky Stockwell and Mick Mills – who all wore the blue shirt under Sir Bobby’s leadership at Town will be there just before kick-off, with Kieron Dyer – who played for Bobby at Newcastle, hoping to join them.
