Exciting opportunity to join the ITFC Academy's medical team as Senior Physiotherapist

Full Time Senior Academy Physiotherapist – Ipswich Town Football Club.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ipswich Town Football Club for dynamic, enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join the Academy Medical team in the position of Senior Academy Physiotherapist.

The Academy has a rich history of developing young footballers and we are looking to develop our medical service to meet the growing needs of the Academy, as it moves towards Category 1 status within the Elite Player Performance Plan.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Head of Academy Sports Medicine to provide elite level Physiotherapy and medical care for all academy players.

The role will also require the successful applicant to oversee the medical provision and injury prevention protocols of the schoolboy squads as well as assist with the Under 18 squads, and oversee the running of our Academy match day programme. The role involves working flexible hours, working weekends and providing match day cover as required.

The successful candidate must have sufficient clinical experience as a Physiotherapist to effectively treat injured players, whilst utilising rehabilitation and training interventions to prevent injury, restore optimal function and contribute to enhancing sporting performance.

Please note, as well as previous experience of working within a sporting environment being desirable, as a pre-requisite all applicants must be a Chartered Physiotherapist, with a particular interest in paediatrics.
