TUNNERS WANTS TOP SIX STAY

26 December 2013

Midfielder delighted to see Blues celebrate Christmas with three points and praises Town's display

Ryan Tunnicliffe was delighted to see Town celebrate Christmas by picking up three excellent points away at Doncaster Rovers.

The midfielder put in a top drawer display, setting up Luke Chambers for Town’s second goal with David McGoldrick also bagging a brace, as Blues took all three points at the Keepmoat Stadium to move into the Play-Off places.

“It’s nice to come away and get three points, especially with the way we’ve performed today,” Tunners told the Club website.

“We’re on a good run now and this result keeps the ball rolling ahead of some important games.

“So it’s lovely to get a result such as this one, especially on Boxing Day so it gives the fans some Christmas cheer.

“We’re in the top six now and that’s where we want to be. We feel we are good enough and that’s been the goal all season, so it’s up to us to stay there now.”
