Mick pleased with display but rues Rovers winner and chances that slipped away
Jordan Rhodes claimed the winner for Blackburn but the ball appeared to cannon back off Stephen Henderson into the net following a corner.
“I thought we were the better side until they scored but goals change the course of games,” said the Town boss.
“It was galling, the manner of the goal as well. We didn’t defend the corner well, left Grant Hanley unmarked and then the ball has been cleared off the line and hit Hendo on the back of the head.
“That makes it worse. It was certainly a goal that could have been avoided.
“I was pleased with the performance and could not have asked for more effort but we didn’t take the chances that came at our way at the end of the game – and that was the difference.”
