Mick praise for battling Blues and Chops' goal after victory over Blackpool
The striker – who came off the bench to replace the injured Anthony Wordsworth in the first-half – got the only goal of the game with a left footed finish on 50 minutes.
“It was a huge result for us,” the Town boss told the Club website.
“It was a scrappy, horrible, nasty, dreadful – and magnificent performance because we have won the game and I’ll take a few more performances like that over the rest of the season.
“I keep getting asked stupid questions about how we can open the game up, how are we going to go about winning games. It’s about staying in this league and that is a massive three points towards us doing that.
“The one bit of quality was Chops’ goal. He showed a goalscorer’s instinct in playing on the defender’s shoulder and then he did great to hold off the defender and then finish with his weaker left foot.
“Frank Nouble got one off the line at the end at that was as good as a goal as well. I was really pleased with him when he came on. He did his bit, they all did.”
