'Keeper hails the finishing of the Blues frontman as Town return to winning ways

Stephen Henderson was full of praise for matchwinner Michael Chopra, after his strike helped Town beat Blackpool 1-0 at Portman Road.

The striker came off the bench to fire home the winner for Blues and Hendo believes it topped off a solid all-round performance from Mick McCarthy’s side.

“It was a great team performance which was topped off by a world class finish from Chops (Michael Chopra) to see us win the game,” the stopper told the Club website.

“I said to him after the game that he’s just proven what he’s all about and he’s made a career of finishing off chances like that.

“I’m really pleased for him because he’s had a tough time recently and you could see from the celebrations that all the lads are buzzing for him.

“It was a scrappy game but we took our chance when we had it and we’re delighted to have taken all three points. It breeds confidence into the side ahead of Tuesday night’s game with Watford.”
