Marcus on Mick, financial fair play and Premier League ambitions. Digital version available now

Saturday’s matchday programme carries a column from Marcus Evans.

The Town owner talks about the implications of Financial Fair Play on the Football Club, reiterates his desire to bring success to Portman Road, reflects on changes at the top at the Club and reveals why only one man will be controlling the team on the pitch - and it won’t be him.

“Going forwards, as we look to succeed where in the past we haven’t, the Club will continue to leave its managers free to manage without interference from the owner or the Club Board,” says Marcus speaking in the programme.

“Our manager will continue to dictate football policy, he chooses the players and when new or existing players can be secured within budget, we will seek to reach agreement.

“In Mick we are fortunate enough to have a highly experienced manager and someone whose skills and experience encompass all the roles a top manager needs to undertake, ie being a manager, a coach and a director of football all wrapped up into one.  We are certainly lucky to have an individual who can and wants to take on these broad responsibilities.”

The programme also features an extended interview with Bryan Klug, plus Mick McCarthy and Carlos Edwards talk about the battle ahead.

The online version of the programme is available now, with access via PC, Mac and mobile. Click here for full details.
