Blues defender happy to come away with a share of the spoils and a clean sheet to boot
Tommy Smith described Town’s goalless draw with Huddersfield as a ‘well earned point’ and believes it was a positive result.
Blues held the Terriers at the John Smith’s Stadium in a game that saw little goalmouth action, mainly due to the conditions of the pitch.
“We obviously came into the game wanting to win but the main thing was to not lose today. I think any away point is a good result and we are pleased to take something from the game,” the New Zealand international told the Club website.
“It was a battle and you could see from the surface of the pitch that it was never going to be a pretty football game.
“As a team, and as a back four especially, we are delighted to come away with a clean sheet and a share of the spoils.”
