Anthony a doubt for Watford as kidney injury leads to hospital check
The midfielder, who was making his first start for Blues, immediately called for treatment after going down under a challenge from Seasiders’ ‘keeper Matt Gilks.
He tried to play on but was soon replaced by Michael Chopra and Mick McCarthy told the Club website: “Woody has taken a bang to the kidneys.
“He’s on gas and air in the treatment room and feeling fine but he’s clearly not and will be going to hospital for a check.”
The Town boss added that he hoped Scott Loach and Lee Martin might come into contention for Tuesday’s visit from the Hornets after being sidelined with thumb and hamstring injuries respectively.
