No inspection planned at Ashton Gate with the pitch beating the recent cold snap

Town’s game with Bristol City will go ahead as planned this weekend, after the Robins confirmed that no pitch inspection will take place.

The pitch at Ashton Gate has been covered all week, after snow and frosty conditions spread across the country during the recent cold snap.

The forecast is due to improve significantly for tomorrow’s game and the ground staff at Bristol City have heaters on standby should they be required.

Town's Academy games against Brighton have been postponed this weekend though because the pitches at Playford Road are frozen.
No official inspection is planned and the game is all set for a 3pm kick-off at Ashton Gate, with Blues hoping to make it an unhappy home debut for new Robins boss Sean O’Driscoll.
