BOSS: PATRICK FITS BILL PERFECTLY

3 January 2013

Mick welcomes new arrival and hints at debut this weekend

Mick McCarthy has hinted that Patrick Kisnorbo could make his Town debut in Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Aston Villa.

The 31-year-old defender has joined Blues from Leeds in a one month loan deal and has been given permission to play at Villa Park by his parent club.

“With Danny Higginbotham leaving and Bilel Mohsni going as well, we needed to get an experienced player in that can play straightaway and Patrick fills the bill perfectly,” the Town boss told the Club website.

“He’s not been playing at Leeds but he has trained every day and played in their U21s and he trained with us this morning.

“He’s an experienced player and we need that extra competition at the back because we’ve only got Tommy Smith and Chambo [Luke Chambers].

“Patrick’s with us for the month and it gives us an opportunity to have a look at him and he can look at us as well.

“He will be with us for the Villa trip. Chambo has broken his nose and while he will be okay to play, I’ll probably give Patrick a game anyway.”
