Town skipper activates clause in his contract to see him remain at Portman Road until summer of 2014
Carlos Edwards will remain at Portman Road until the summer of 2014, after activating a clause in his contract.
The Town skipper agreed a new one-year deal with Blues last season, with the option of a further year if he made a set number of appearances for the Club, which he has now done.
The Trinidad international arrived at Town in 2009, when he was signed by former boss Roy Keane in a joint deal with Grant Leadbitter, before being handed the captaincy by Paul Jewell last term.
Meanwhile reports suggesting that Aaron Mclean could be recalled by parent-club Hull City are wide of the mark, with the striker remaining at Blues until the end of the season as planned.
