Striker signs off with a loss in the final game of his loan spell as Blues start 2013 with defeat

DJ Campbell was disappointed not to sign off as a Town player with a win, after Blues were beaten 3-0 at home to Brighton.

The striker played his final game of his loan spell at Portman Road, before he returns to parent-club QPR but couldn’t help Town start 2013 with a win.

“It’s disappointing to lose the game today and it’s not the way I wanted to go out,

“We’ve had a good festive period and to take seven points over the four games is a decent return, especially when you consider we only had seven points when Mick came in.

“Obviously I wanted to win and it would have been nice to get the three points and score a couple of goals in my last game but it wasn’t to be today.”
