McGoldrick sums up the mood in the camp after Town let a first-half lead slip to lose 2-1 to Bristol City at Ashton Gate

David McGoldrick felt Town should have killed the game off long before Bristol City fired home their late winner this afternoon and labelled the mood in the camp as ‘frustrating’.

Blues were pegged back at Ashton Gate, after Steven Davies and Jon Stead both struck in the second-half to cancel out Daryl Murphy’s opener.

“All the boys are absolutely gutted in the dressing-room,” David told the Club website.

“We’ve played well first-half and got ourselves in front, but second-half we’ve not killed the game off and Bristol have come at us and nicked the win late on.

“It’s frustrating because we feel we should have taken all three points, never mind just one, and in the end we have come away with nothing.

“We looked pretty comfortable in the first-half but that’s the Championship for you, anyone can beat anyone and Bristol have proven that by coming from behind to win.”
