Town boss eager to add to his squad with a return for DJ Campbell also on his wishlist

Mick McCarthy is hoping for a ‘busy’ January transfer window, as he looks to bolster his squad for the second-half of the season.

Speaking after the New Year’s Day defeat to Brighton, the Town boss admitted that he will be looking to bring in reinforcements- with DJ Campbell one player he would like to bring back to Portman Road.

“I’m hoping it will be a busy January and I’m certainly looking to get some reinforcements in,” Mick told the Club website.

“The lads we’ve got here are great and have done very well recently but I think we need more to sustain our league position.

“We’ve got a few lads coming to the end of their loan deals, with DJ having gone back to QPR.

“I’d like to keep DJ and I’ll be speaking to Harry but, at the same time, he’s a QPR player so any deal will be down to them first and foremost.”
