Mick delighted to bring in a familiar face who he believes will be a 'good asset' for Blues
Mick McCarthy believes new recruit Christophe Berra will be a good asset to his Town squad, after signing the Scotland international on a free transfer.
The defender penned a two-year deal at Portman Road, after seeing his contract at Wolves expire, with the move reuniting him Mick and assistant manager Terry Connor.
“I’m delighted we have signed him,” the Town boss told the Club website.
“He’s a really good defender and he would have had other offers elsewhere but he wanted to come here.
“I know all about him. I signed him at Wolves for £2.3m, he helped us get promoted and then he helped us stay in the Premier League.
“Christophe will be a good asset for us and I’m delighted to get him through the door, especially on a free transfer.”
