Terry happy with pre-season progress
Two goals from Daryl Murphy gave Blues a 2-0 win in humid conditions at Tolka Park, with Town fielding a different team in each half.
“It’s not about the result, it’s about getting the players back on the pitch,” Terry told the Club website.
“The players have worked really hard for the two weeks we have been back. Andy Liddell [fitness coach] has put them through their paces and there will be some tired legs out there but that’s what pre-season is for.
“It’s about getting that fitness levels up after the break the players have had and being ready for August 3.”
Terry was in charge of Town for the game with manager Mick McCarthy back in the UK for a long standing commitment to attend a charity event.
