Youngsters to get coached by the experts

Twenty Junior Blues will be coached by two members of Town’s Academy staff at the Club’s Open Day on August 20.

The lucky youngsters will be put through their paces by the coaches on the fieldturf as soon as the first-team have finished their training session on the main pitch.

To be in with a chance of training with the professionals all you need to do is draw a picture of a current Town player on A4 sized paper and send it together with your name, address, age, customer number and contact telephone number to: Train with Town, Ipswich Town Football Club, Portman Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 2DA

All entries must be received by Friday, August 2 and the winners will be notified on Monday, August 5.

Only Junior Blues members can apply. The 20 winners will be responsible for providing their own kit and boots.

The Open Day takes place at Portman Road, with fans invited to watch the first-team train. The players will then take part in an extended signing session.

Side stalls and other attractions will also form what has become one of the most popular day in Town’s calendar, with more than 2000 attending last season’s event.
