Injury and Cressy concern rules Mings out of Chippenham friendly

Tyrone Mings will miss today’s friendly at Chippenham through injury.

The 20-year-old defender was scheduled to make the trip to Wiltshire to take on his former club but has been pulled out of the squad by boss Mick McCarthy.

“Tyrone has a knock and we don’t want to take any chances at this stage,” Mick told the Club website.

“We have Aaron Cresswell injured at the minute as well and with a game coming up on Tuesday at Gillingham, we are light on left-backs.

“It’s disappointing for Tyrone. I know he was looking forward to going back to Chippenham and we've reluctantly pulled him out of the squad but I’ve got to look at what’s ahead.”

Kick-off is 1pm with Town fielding a young side.
