Former Manchester United man agrees two-year contract at Portman Road after impressing on trial

Town have signed Frederic Veseli on a two year contract.

The 20-year-old former Manchester City and Manchester United defender has impressed while on trial at the Club and put pen to paper on a contract today, with a year option on top.

Freddy arrives at Portman Road as a free agent having been released by Manchester United at the end of his contract in the summer.

Capped by Switzerland at every level up to U21, he left his homeland at 15 to join Manchester City and spent four years there before moving to Old Trafford in 2012, where he became a regular in the reserve team.

“Freddy has done very well in his time here,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.

“He had other options but we are delighted he has agreed to join us.”
