Town begin the new Championship season with a trip to the Madejski Stadium

Town will kick-off the 2013/14 campaign with a trip to Reading on Saturday August 3.

The Royals were relegated from the Premier League last season but will start the new Championship season as one of the favourites for promotion under boss Nigel Adkins.

A trip to Stevenage in the Capital One Cup follows before Town return to Portman Road on Saturday August 10 for the visit of Millwall, who will be looking to make a good start under new boss and former West Ham midfielder Steve Lomas.

It's then on the road to face another recently relegated side in Queens Park Rangers, before ex-Reading boss Brian McDermott brings his Leeds United Side to Suffolk.

Ex-Ipswich youngster Ed Upson will be among the newly-promoted Yeovil Town squad who travel to Suffolk on Tuesday September 17, just three days before ex-skipper Tony Mowbray brings his Middlesbrough side to Portman Road.

Town face Christmas on the road, with a trip to current League One champions Doncaster Rovers on Thursday December 26, while three days later it's a visit to another newly promoted side, Bournemouth.

New Year's Day is kinder with a home game against Charlton Athletic, and then there's a break of ten days before QPR visit Portman Road.

The final away game of the season is at Burnley on April 26, while the season concludes with a home game against Sheffield Wednesday the following Saturday.
