Daryl tells the Club website that he believes Town are in good hands under Mick after agreeing permanent switch to Portman Road
Daryl Murphy believes he has rejoined a Club that is ‘heading in the right direction’ under Mick McCarthy.
The former Celtic man, who has taken in three separate loan spells at Town, penned a two-year permanent deal at Portman Road to become the third summer signing after the previous arrivals of Cole Skuse and Jay Tabb.
“Obviously I was delighted to get the move done early in the summer and I’m looking forward to pre-season now,” Murph told the Club website.
“There’s a real buzz about the place, especially coming off the back of the finish to last season, and I think people want to come here and be a part of that.
“I showed that by coming back to the Club on a permanent basis and Tabby clearly feels the same way, otherwise he wouldn’t have returned.
“We have a manager with a proven track record and a great set of lads here so I really believe the Club is heading in the right direction.”
