Academy scholars both shortlisted for LFE Goal of the Month after impressive strikes against Brighton last month
Town duo Byron Lawrence and Joe Robinson have both been shortlisted for the League Football’s Education’s February Goal of the Month.
The first-year scholars both netted impressive strikes during Blues’ 4-2 home win over Brighton, played out at the start of last month.
Eight great goals have been shortlisted for the LFE February Goal of the Month prize, with the competition featuring the best goals from Under 18 Academy players at Football League clubs up and down the country.
Among Byron and Joe, the other contenders for this month are:

GOAL B: Joe Robinson, IPSWICH TOWN v Brighton & Hove Albion
GOAL C: Mathew Jones, SWINDON TOWN v Cheltenham Town
GOAL D: Ben Maund, COVENTRY CITY v Huddersfield Town
GOAL E: Chris Whincop, DONCASTER ROVERS v Hull City
GOAL F: Tanasheh Abrahams, BARNET v Brighton & Hove Albion
GOAL G: Reise Allassani, Manchester United v CRYSTAL PALACE
GOAL H: Jack Maloney, PORTSMOUTH v Peterborough United
LFE Chief Executive, Alan Sykes said: “This competition remains popular with our apprentices, clubs and the general public and continues to showcase the excellent work being conducted across The Football League to develop talented young players.”
