Right-back to sit out Bolton test with a hip injury
Elliott Hewitt has been ruled out of Town’s game with Bolton with a hip injury.
The Wales U21 international, who became Blues’ first signing of the summer when he moved to Portman Road from Macclesfield, will miss the clash against Dougie Freedman’s side with the injury, after it was confirmed by boss Mick McCarthy.
Elliott made his first League start for Town against Peterborough last time out but his injury seems to open the door for Wolves loanee Richard Stearman to return at right-back, after serving his one game suspension.
Town boss Mick also has injury concerns over duo Aaron Cresswell and Michael Chopra, although is hopeful the pair will recover in time to feature at Portman Road.
