Tabb aiming to impress boss and fans as he looks to future
The 29-year-old midfielder has joined Blues on loan from Reading for 28 days and is included in the squad for the trip to Peterborough at the weekend.
“I’m delighted to be here,” Jay told Ipswich Player. “Ipswich is always a club that I have enjoying playing at in my time with Coventry and now Reading.
“Mick McCarthy’s track record as a manager is really impressive and knowing what Ipswich is like as a club, it was a very easy decision to come here.
“I’m out of contract at Reading in the summer and it’s very unlikely that I will be staying there so I’ll be looking for a new club and I’d definitely be keen on a move here.
“It’s up to me to prove myself to the manager, the players and the supporters and if I can do that, then hopefully something might get done.
“The priority at the moment though is to help get Ipswich up the table. It’s a massive game to start with, at Peterborough tomorrow and I can’t wait to get going.”
