Young Blues go down at Lowestoft in semi-final
A goal from Michael Frew nine minutes from time was enough to give Lowestoft a place in the final in a game of few chances.
There were a few familiar faces in the Lowestoft line-up with Stuart Ainsley, former Academy scholar and brother of Jack, goalkeeper Andy Plummer and former first-team player and now Academy staff member Scott Mitchell all in their line-up.
Josh Carson, Byron Lawrence and Cormac Burke were the only players with first-team football to their name in action for Blues.
Town's joint managing directors, Ian Milne and Jonathan Symonds, watched the youngsters in action after also being at the City Ground 24 hours earlier to see Blues' defeat at Forest.
