High spirits, despite low temperature...
The inclement weather did nothing to dampen golfers' spirits at the dubiously named 'Spring Golf Day'!Braving icy temperatures and occasional sleet, 16 teams set out on the course at Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa, to pit their skills against ITFC celebrities.
Jay Tabb was the sole representative of the current team playing in the competition, with a few of the usual golfers nursing minor injuries. However, the whole first team squad were on hand to meet the teams upon arrival and enjoy a chat in the warm before the competition began.
Ex-players Jason Dozzell, Bryan Hamilton, Mick Lambert and Simon Milton took part, as did coaching staff Bryan Klug, Mark Kennedy, Andy Liddell and Russell Osman.
Although there were no prizes for golfers' outfits, a special mention goes to Mark Kennedy and Andy Liddell, who sported impressive Ipswich Town bobble hats.
Our congratulations go out to all of the hardy souls who completed the 18 holes on a thoroughly enjoyable, albeit freezing day, but top honours go to UFS (top picture) who were the overall winners.
