Young Blues narrowly edged out by Spurs counterparts on penalties after exciting clash at Portman Road

A crowd of more than 1500 watched Town’s U15s draw with Tottenham 2-2 before going down in a penalty shoot-out at Portman Road last night.

Blues hosted the Academy showcase game, which has become a regular date in the Club’s calendar, with Spurs following the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal in providing the opposition at youth level on the main pitch.

Sam Ford scored twice for Town but second-half goals from Ryan Loft and Armani Daly took the game to a penalty shoot-out, which was won 4-2 by the visitors.

Town first-team players Tommy Smith and Luke Hyam presented the trophy on another successful night for the Academy.
