Lee, Andy and Arran released while Chops and Jet can move on

Mick McCarthy has confirmed that Lee Martin, Andy Drury and Arran Lee-Barrett have been released.

The trio have come to the end of their contracts and have been told the Club will not be offering them new deals for next season.

The Town boss has also added that Michael Chopra and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas are not in his plans for the 2013/14 campaign and are available for transfer.

“Lee, Andy and Arran are all out of contract and have been released,” Mick told the Club website.

“I want to look at other options but we wish them every success for the future.

“I have also spoken to Michael Chopra and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and told them that I don’t see them as being part of my plans going forward and they are free to look for another club.”

Lee joined Blues from Manchester United in the summer of 2009 and has made 106 appearances for the Club.

Arran clocked up 42 games for Town while Andy, who has just become a father for the first time, played 64 times for Blues after arriving from Luton in 2011.

Jason Brown, who signed a short term deal in March until the end of the season, will not be extending his stay at Portman Road, while Chops and Jet have a year to run on their contracts.
