All the information you need about the ITFC Charitable Trust

ITFC Charitable Trust is the registered partner Charity of Ipswich Town Football Club. We are very much a locally based organisation and use sport (in particular football) and our close relationship with the Football Club, as a way of making a difference to the lives of people living in and around Suffolk.

Every school holiday throughout the year, the Trust run a range of grassroots level football and multi-sports courses across Suffolk for children between the ages of 4 and 13. These courses are aimed at both boys and girls and cater for a range of football abilities on both our two day and specialist one day courses.

At the Trust we believe strongly in offering opportunities to everyone living in Suffolk regardless of their age, gender, social background or ability, and a great example of this is our disability programme. Ability Counts works to offer children, young people and adults with physical disabilities, learning difficulties or mental health issues, the same football opportunities as mainstream football players and we run a variety of sports-based programmes to fulfill this ambition.

GOING FOR GOALS introduction of the PPA in September 2005 brought challenges for schools to cover the void in teaching time. ITFC Charitable Trust can help not only to fill the gap but enhance the quality of sport provision in schools. For more information, or to discuss any of our School Coaching options, please call 01473 400553 or email

Going for Goals is a six week school programme based in our own study centre here at Portman Road and is aimed at pupils tht are in Key Stage two and three. We use the theme of football to raise attainment in literacy and numeracy. We have our own minibus to transport pupils, the only commitment we ask the school to make is to select 15 pupils and provide an appropriate adult (either a teacher or a TA) to accompany the group. more information, or to discuss further, please call 01473 400588 or email TEAM PROGRAMME

The Team Programme which is completely free to those who take part, works to develop the lives of unemployed 16 to 25 year olds living in Suffolk, by offering support to those looking to make positive life decisions, helping them to improve their confidence and move on to new opportunities.

Activ8it plus offers support, guidance and advice to young people looking to make a real difference to their health by not only teaching them the importance of exercise and diet but also how they can realistically achieve a healthier lifestyle.
