Baltacha on giving kids a chance, plus Cressy,Tommy and free Cole Skuse poster for tonight's game
Elena recalls memories of coming to Portman Road with her dad Sergei, who became the first player from the Soviet Union to play in English football when he lined up for Blues in the late 1980s.
She also talks about the Elena Baltacha Academy of Tennis [EBAT], the charity that she has launched with the aim of giving kids from every background the chance to follow in her footsteps.
“There is a stigma that tennis is for rich kids,” Elena told the matchday programme.
“It shouldn’t be that way though. It shouldn’t matter what background you come from, kids should have that opportunity to play tennis and that’s what we are trying to do.
“We are trying to show that if you have that talent, that drive, we will back you if you don’t have the financial support. I think all sports should be like that.”
Also included in the programme are columns with Town boss Mick McCarthy and former Blues’ skipper Jason De Vos, Paul Anderson is the focus feature while Scott Loach and Elliott Hewitt go head to head in the Brain of Blues quiz.
Also don't miss the giant Cole Skuse poster given away free with the programme.
