Striker is aiming to add to his tally after notching against Blackpool and is eyeing a surge up the table from Blues

Frank Nouble is hoping Town use the win over Blackpool as a platform to push on up the League, as Championship football returns to Portman Road at the weekend. The striker helped spark a superb turnaround for the Blues, as Mick McCarthy’s side beat the Seasiders 3-2 at Bloomfield Road last time out, with high-flyers Leicester City next up at the weekend.

“It was a great win for us and hopefully we can push on now,” Frank told the Club website.

“It’s given us all a lot of confidence and we are only four points off the play-offs. We know in this League that if you can put a run together then you can jump up the table, which is what we want to do.

“I was delighted to get my first goal of the season against Blackpool and it was nice to see Tayls [Paul Taylor] on the scoresheet too.

“It’s a squad game and we all want to play. I think with us two and Didz [David McGoldrick] and Murph [Daryl Murphy] we have a good blend of strikers at the Club.

“I feel confident in my ability and I want to add to my tally now.”
