Midfielder pens short-term deal at Portman Road after leaving Wolves in the summer

Town have signed Republic of Ireland international Stephen Hunt on a short-term contract until January.

The midfielder, without a club since leaving Wolves in the summer, has penned a deal at Portman Road until the January transfer window, which sees him again link up with Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor.

Stephen had been training with Town in September and impressed the boss enough to be handed a short-term deal.

The former Reading man had also been training with Millwall and saw a move to tomorrow’s opponents Blackpool break down over personal terms recently.

The paperwork has been finalised in time for tomorrow’s game, meaning the winger is available for selection should the manager wish to include him in his squad.

Stephen will wear the number 12 shirt for Town and an exclusive interview with the new recruit will be available to view on our official YouTube channel later today.

Ipswich Player will provide subscribers with an in-depth interview with Stephen soon.
