Murph up for challenge as Foxes' visit could see biggest attendance of the season

Town could be on for the biggest gate of the season at Portman Road when high flying Leicester provide the opposition at this weekend.

The 18,361 that watched the draw with Barnsley at the start of the month is the highest attendance so far but that will be under threat this weekend, with the Foxes, who sit in second place in the Championship, backed by a travelling support of more than 1000.

Town are offering all U16s the chance to watch the game for just £1 and tickets are selling well, with Daryl Murphy confident Blues can close the gap on the Play-Off places with three points against the Foxes.

“Leicester have been there or thereabouts in the promotion race the last couple of years but for whatever reason they have not done it,” the Town striker told the Club website.

“They have a big squad, a good team and they are flying at the minute so it should be an exciting game on Saturday but with the support we’ve got, we’re confident of beating anyone at home.”
