Left-back delighted to make Portman Road debut but frustrated to see Town defeated by Leicester

Tyrone Mings was delighted to make his home Town debut but was ultimately left disappointed as it ended in defeat to Leicester City.

The left-back performed admirably for the Blues but a quick-fire double from David Nugent saw the Foxes come from behind to take all three points at Portman Road, after David McGoldrick had fired Town in front.

“It was a good effort from the lads. We made a great start, we got in their faces and got the early goal but second-half it didn’t quite click for us,” Tyrone told the Club website.

“They started to get a grip on the game after the break and when you have someone like David Nugent in your side, he’s going to punish you and he’s done that to us with two quick goals.

“On a personal note, I’ve loved every minute of being involved .

“Today was special for me as nothing compares to making your home debut but obviously the result was a disappointing one.

“Obviously Cressy [Aaron Cresswell] is back for Charlton but I want to keep the shirt. Me and Cressy are good mates but we both want to play and we will be pushing each other for that starting place.”
