Midfielder happy for blank weekend so he can rest up for Burnley but was also keen to carry on performing for the Blues

Paul Anderson is hoping to return stronger than ever after the international break, after netting his second goal of the season for Town in the stalemate with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.

The midfielder has broke into the starting line-up as of late, with the Blues now facing a blank weekend as the international break hits us, so we asked the former Nottingham Forest man whether he would like a rest or would prefer to have continued playing now he’s in the team?

“A little bit of both really!” joked Paul.

“We’ve had some good performances and good recently, so it would have been nice to carry on playing and keep in the swing of things but it will also be good to have a break.

“I’ve had a long run in the team now and it will be good to have a little break and rest up. Hopefully I can keep my place in the team and return strongly after the break.

“For me personally it will be nice to rest up and I will get home at the weekend to catch up with family and friends. After that I will join back up with the lads and look to hit the ground running against Burnley at Portman Road when we return.”
