EYE FOR GOALS

9 October 2013

Cole looking to break Town duck in front of goal after going so close against Sheffield Wednesday last time out

Cole Skuse has told the Club website that he is eyeing up a first goal in Town colours, after going so close against Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

The summer signing from Bristol City rattled the inside of Owls ‘keeper Chris Kirkland’s post on Saturday, as the Blues left Hillsborough with a share of the spoils, with the midfielder admitting he is long overdue a goal.

“I have to admit I thought that one at Hillsborough was in, in fact I was already off celebrating!” said Cole in an exclusive interview to Ipswich Player.

“Even when it hit the post I thought it would go in the other side, but it wasn’t to be. I’ve beaten the ‘keeper all ends up and I’ve probably caught it a little too sweetly.

“I’m definitely overdue a goal and the manager has stressed that we all need to be contributing goals all over the pitch and I’d like to chip in with my fair share too.”
