Boss comes out top in another successful Club Golf Day
Mick McCarthy took the honours as Town’s top golfer and the first-team squad and coaching staff turned out in force at the Club’s Golf Day.
A few showers late in the day did nothing to dampen the spirits of the 17 teams taking part in the day of golf at Ufford Park, with the course playing exceptionally well despite the recent bad weather.
The first-team was well represented with Paul Anderson, Aaron Cresswell, Elliott Hewitt, Tommy Smith, Jay Tabb and Anthony Wordsworth among the players in action.
Youngsters Jack Marriott, David October, Mark Timlin and Tom Winter made their ITFC Golf Day debuts, while Mick and Terry Connor headed the line-up of coaching staff, which included Bryan Klug, Alan Lee and Academy goalkeeping coach, Darren Smith.
Mick topped the Town golfers contest with 37 points, while Jay was in the team that took the honours in the yellow ball competition.
