Mick pleased with both sides of Town show at Hillsborough
Paul Anderson’s second goal of the season was cancelled out by Michail Antonio’s equaliser a minute later, with both sides going on to hit the woodwork.
“I’m delighted with the point,” said the Town boss. “We were excellent in the first-half and had to show a different side to our game in the second-half in terms of defending.
“We had to be tough and resolute and especially on the back of the second-half at Derby, I thought we were terrific and defended really well.
“There was no hangover from Tuesday night and that pleased me obviously but they are a great set of lads.
“We played some good football in the first-half and were the better side. They came back into the second and like I said, we had to dig in but we did that – and did it well.
“It’s been a good week. Two away games and points to show from both. It could have been more but that’s football.
“I’m pleased we’ve got the international break now. It’s been a hectic week, with three games and lot of travelling. The players and staff will get a few days off and then we’ll go again for Burnley.”
