“Josh may go away now and play 50 or 60 really competitive games and who’s to say he won’t come back stronger and go on to have a terrific career somewhere?

“I can think of hundreds of players who have been in the same situation and come back stronger elsewhere and perhaps Josh just lost his momentum here a little bit, as he wasn’t playing as often as he was when he first burst on the scene.

“Sometimes it just takes a change of environment or a different voice to reignite the player and you can see them kick on again.

“Hopefully he can rediscover that somewhere else and go on to have a great career.”
