Town striker to return to former club Peterborough on loan deal until November 2
Paul Taylor has rejoined former club Peterborough United on loan until November 2nd.
The striker, who signed for Town from Posh for an undisclosed fee in August 2012, made his return to first-team action this season from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a foot injury sustained last term.
Tayls has started one game for the Blues this season, the Capital One Cup defeat to Stevenage but has been used regularly from the bench by manager Mick McCarthy.
The loan switch to London Road will enable the Liverpool-born striker to get further first-team action under his belt and the move also allows him to also be available for Peterborough in their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
The Blues have the option to recall Paul after 28 days of the loan.
"Tayls was out for a long time with his injury and needs to be playing games week in, week out," Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.
"At the moment, he's not been able to do that here. Going out on loan gives him that opportunity to get that match sharpness that he needs.
"Over the short term the loan will benefit Tayls but over the long term, it will benefit Tayls and us."
