Coach gets rewards for positive outlook on training ground
Mick McCarthy and the striker praised the work TC does on the training ground on finishing after the 2-0 win, with the Town boss saying: “TC does a lot of work with the strikers and I could see all that practise in Didzy’s second goal, the twisting and turning and shooting across the ‘keeper. He deserves a lot of credit for the way he works with the strikers.”
Terry spent 15 years as a frontman for clubs including Leeds and Brighton and told the Club website: “It probably helps that I was a striker when I’m coaching the front players.
“I’ve been there when you’ve missed chances but you’ve got to stay positive.
“We do a lot of work on the training ground around creating and scoring goals, right through the team. It’s frustrating – like at Wigan – when he we played well from back to front but the ball didn’t end in their net.
“That’s when you keep on at the players - encouraging them to shoot, encouraging them to take defenders on.”
